Battery Connector (on PCB) Protection

Problem: Overcurrent / Overtemperature

PCB traces can over heat or be damaged by an overcurrent event from a malfunctioning battery.

 

Solution: PolySwitch devices.

PolySwitch devices help protects against overcurrent or overtemperature by thermally "tripping", which reduces the current flowing through the trace.
