DVI Port Protection

Problem: Overcurrent / Short-circuit fault conditions

Overcurrent or short-circuit faults may arise on the 5V interface line in video port circuits during installation.

 

Solution: PolySwitch devices.

PolySwitch devices help protect against such overcurrent and short-circuit fault conditions on video ports by reducing the flow of dangerously high currents.

Problem: Transient Surge Voltages and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can occur during installation and also any time the user disconnects the source from the receiver. This can severely damage the equipment.
 

Solution: PESD devices

Extremely low capacitance ESD protection devices, such as Raychem PESD devices, help shunt ESD away from sensitive circuitry in electronic devices without inducing signal distortion.
